In order to replace petrochemical plastics, Valagro
Carbone Renouvelable Poitou-Charentes studies, develops and proposes
biomaterials based on natural fibers (wood, hemp, flax, wool) and/or
cereal
flour (wheat, rice, corn). Different types of biomaterials were
developed : wood/plastic composites, biodegadable material and
vegetable fiber reinforced composites.
We propose our skills in the following fileds :
- Technologic watch (expertise, feasability, material benchmarking)
- Development of biopolymers and bioadditives suited for bioplastics
- Formulation of bioplastics with optimized properties for identified
industrial applications
- Physical, chemical, mecanical, thermal and rheologic
characterisations of biomaterials
- Vegetal fiber functionnalisation in order to improve cohesion energy
between fibers and polymers
- Determination of biomaterial processability, durability and
biodegradation
- Demonstration sample and pilot production
